  • GateHouse News Service teams with Ebyline to power its syndication services

  • GateHouse News Service, a division of GateHouse Media, Inc, has teamed with Ebyline to manage its á la carte syndication and distribution services. GateHouse News Service will make available hundreds of articles, columns and products – including lifestyle pages and special sections – across 20 category channels in its initial offering.
    “GateHouse News Service is one of the most practical content services for today’s newsrooms, allowing publishers efficient access to quality content,” said Brad Dennison, GateHouse Media vice president of News & Interactive. “For the first time, through the use of Ebyline’s technology platform, publishers will gain access to GateHouse News Service content outside of an annual subscription model allowing publishers greater flexibility and broadening GateHouse News Services’ potential customer base.”
    Ebyline’s marketplace and underlying technology enable those who produce original news content and publishers seeking original news content to more effectively do business with each other through buying and selling news on an á la carte basis using a secure online platform that manages many administrative tasks – ultimately freeing up time and budgets, and permitting both sides to dedicate more resources to quality journalism.
