  • Even if you aren't the resolution-making type, there are undoubtedly some things you'd like to be better at, perhaps especially at work.
Take some time this year to learn something through these programs:
-- NewsU from Poynter offers tons of free and low-cost webinars that you can play and replay any time you're free. Upcoming sessions include those for reporters, editors, designers, the computer-literate and not. If you don't have much time, visit NewsU's Training Tip of the Day page.
-- Find courses and workshops in your area at JournalismTraining.org, from the Society of Professional Journalists.
-- Some good links and how-tos, especially for multimedia, can be found here, at the Knight Citizen News Network site.
-- Or, perhaps this is your year to do something big. In that case, check out the intensive seminars from the American Press Institute and APME.
Also, be sure to watch GHNewsroom.com as we set our training program for 2011.
