Use our latest callout to get young readers' drawings of the planet for Earth Day.
GateHouse News Service has a callout ad you can use to request kids' drawings for Earth Day.
We suggest running this callout in print and online between April 1 and 14, and running photos in print by April 22 and online as they come in.
Ways to maximize this callout's potential:
-- Work now with local teachers to make this a class project. Be sure to include the students' names, schools and grade levels when you run their submissions in print and online.
-- Adults can participate, too, by taking photos of places in town they feel are in need of a cleanup. The photos can become a weekly public service journalism feature for your paper through April, Earth Month, or beyond.
-- Use GHNS' new Go Green tab with your Earth Day coverage. It has prepaginated pages with original content, space for ads, and two templated pages you can use to list local Earth Day events and to profile local groups and people who are eco-friendly. The section comes with other callouts to run now for readers' green stories. Get more information at a webinar at 3 p.m. EDT, 2 Central Thursday, March 17. Register here.
