GateHouse Media has launched a Super Bowl website for all of our newspapers.

The site showcases many of our content partners like Crowdy News, Bleacher Report, News Distribution Network, Athlon Sports and Pro Football Weekly.

These kind of initiatives save time for our newspapers that would have spent resources bundling content digitally themselves. Each newspaper gets page views through our syndication system for any content that's clicked on.

The Super Bowl has long been an American obsession: Great game, great food and great commercials. And now it's becoming an online obsession: Great galleries, great predictions and great video of the hottest commercials.

Here is some information on some of the unique pieces of the site:

Social conversation: As part of our partnership with Crowdy News, we've launched a Super Bowl social media news widget that is featuring all sorts of great content around the big game. The widget brings in the best Tweets, RSS feeds and Instagram photos, on the Super Bowl. It's featured in the right rail.

Video: As part of our partnership with News Distribution Network, we're featuring all sorts of great video on the site from well known media partners like the Associated Press, ABC News and FOX News. In addition, the football gurus over at Pro Football Weekly are giving us some terrific video from their experts who are making predictions and more.



Contest: As part of a companywide contest we're currently running, readers can sign up for our Big Game promotion and win some pretty cool prizes. Readers have to predict the winner, the score of the game and answer a few other things about the big game and they are entered. It's a fun element to the site.
