The LEDE class of 2011 has been selected, and News & Interactive is preparing for the first leadership seminar next month in Downers Grove, Ill. The class includes journalists from a variety of backgrounds and GateHouse publications, from California to Massachusetts. See the full list of members below.

News & Interactive has been working with national newsroom training consultant Michael Roberts on the first session, April 25-27. Planned sessions include the role of a manager, managing change and a session on core values and ethics.

COMING MONDAY: Q&A with the nine LEDE 2011 class members

The goal of LEDE, part of the GateHouse Leadership Series, is to develop and train newsroom leaders now to take over higher-level newsroom positions across the company as they become available. The program's first class, last year, has seen three of the nine graduates move to higher management positions.

To learn more about LEDE, contact manager of newsroom development Chris Biondi at cbiondi@gatehousemedia.com.
