GateHouse papers in New England are partnering to cover Super Bowl XLVI in super style. Here are five cool things they're doing in the runup to the big game.

1

What are they doing online?

They’ve created a website to aggregate all of their pre-game coverage, from AFC championship rally coverage, to super fan stories to mapping the road to the Super Bowl for each team. The website will be linked on each daily and weekly website in New England.

2

How are they involving readers?

They’re recruiting fans heading to the Super Bowl to blog for them.

3

What are they doing in print?

They’re printing an 8-page game preview special section, using shared regional and GateHouse News Service content.

4

What's different about the cover art for the special section?

They tapped a local artist to create a compelling portrait of Patriot QB Tom Brady for the cover of the section.

5

How are they taking advantage of GateHouse resources?

They’re partnering with GateHouse papers in Utica and Canandaigua New York for on-the-ground coverage of the Giants and their fans, as well as partnering with Pro-Football Weekly and Bleacher Report for full coverage.
