WHEN TO USE IT Use this anytime there's a number of reader-submitted photos that are awaiting publication. This template can be used in any section of the paper -- news, sports, features. This template can be used for showcasing all submitted photos from a local parade. Perhaps several residents photographed a storm or tornado that plowed through the community, this template can be used to show readers' perspectives of that storm. The package could be themed. Ask readers to submit photos that best illustrate the changing seasons. Also a great way to showcase photos taken by parents of Little Leaguers from over the weekend. Possibilities are limitless.
HOW TO USE IT Using the template as is requires a 4-column vertical space that occupies the middle columns over a half-page ad stack. If space allows, duplicate picture boxes to showcase photos over a half page.
Some details worth noting:
• Be sure to align the top edges of pictures boxes horizontally in each row of the package to ensure a clean presentation.
• The bottom edges can be adjusted to allow for deeper photos.
• Captions should be wordy enough to describe the action in each photo.
• Include the names and hometowns of each person in a photo. Of course, that won't work with big group shots.
