Eleven different editors and journalism organizations will judge this year's contest.
For the third consecutive year, Newseum will judge the Newspaper of the Year category.
Winners should be named by early June.
Here's a breakdown of who is judging what categories:
• News Writing: Alan Miller, Managing Editor, Columbus Dispatch
• Features Writing: Rosalie Stemer, Newsroom Writing Coach
• Sports Writing: Bob Heisse, Editor, Centre Daily Times
• Opinion Writing: Otis Sanford, Instructor, University of Memphis Department of Journalism
• Column Writing: Rosalie Stemer, Newsroom Writing Coach
• Photography: Ball State University
