Despite warnings from health officials, parents are still giving cough medicine to children under the age of 2.
According to USA TODAY, a new poll shows that 61 percent of parents who have children ages 6 months to 2 years old gave them cough and cold medicine in the last year.
It's been well documented that over-the-counter medicine has poisoned and killed kids under 2, according to the FDA.
This would be an interesting story to do some localization on.
• Reach out to a pediatricians office and hear what message doctors are sending parents on this topic? Do doctors think parents are taking the message seriously?
