A creative and informative Sunday centerpiece puts the Herald News on top.
Writer Grant Welker went the extra mile on his coverage of two local job fairs. This well thought out front combines local employment statistics, a list of career centers, and personal job hunting accounts all as quick reads along side the main story.
The use of a file folder containing five local resident's stories, their head shots "attached" by paper clips, perfectly supports the subject and is a nice theme for the centerpiece.
This piece could have been fairly mundane and repetative fare but good communication and collaboration among multiple departments makes it anything but... good job all.
