A straightforward, no-frills, approach for the front page of today’s Journal Star.
This page relies on the ample use of white space and sets a fine example of how good looks can be achieved with basic graphic newsroom elements and design theory. In other words, even those who do not have access to elaborate resources should be able to produce consistently appealing fronts.
By simply playing a decent image as dominant and giving the page plenty of white space we have a winner.
