Another local election pacakge. Another fine example of how to present the candidates.
The Taunton Daily Gazette's coverage of a local Board of Selectmen includes this nice package of the four candidates. Insead of straight mugs, images of each were cut out and anchored to the top of a tinted box for each that contain a short bio, quote and a couple sentences on their stance on local issues.
Each are given the same space, which is equal to time in radio and television broadcast.
What I don't like, though, is the order in which they appear. They're not in alphabetical order, which could lead readers to believe the Gazette favors one or more over others. Avoide the appearance of bias and rund candidates in alphabetical order.
Otherwise, a really nice page.
