March Madness is officially here. As if the weekend's buzzer beaters weren't a clear indication.

The tourney of 60-plus teams tips off on Tuesday and really gets under way on Thursday.

This year's No. 1 teams highlight some pretty familiar faces:

Ohio State
Kansas
Duke
Pittsburgh

There are many local things you can do with it being March Madness:

• Talk to a few local bars and restaurants in prep for Thursday's tip off. Do they anticipate big crowds? What's bigger, the first games on Thursday or the Final Four?

• Touch base with a few local businesses and find out how they handle the issue of distracted workers? Do they expect that this week is going to be tough on production? Do they allow folks to watch the games on their computers or do they have pretty strict policies?

• Does an economics professor really believe in the stat that comes out every year around this time, that millions of dollars in productivity are lossed in the workplace? What's their advice for bosses?

• This is a great opportunity for social media work. Post polls, seek comment through Facebook asking readers to comment on shots made and if you live in a state where fans are traveling, seek their March Madness photos.
