The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., has researchers looking for planets like Earth in the galaxy. Scientists told Space.com this week that about 2 billion Earthlike planets exist in our galaxy. Find out in an online poll if your readers think there's intelligent life out there somewhere. Here's a sample question:

With 2 billion Earthlike planets in our galaxy, do you think there's intelligent life elsewhere in the universe?

  • Absolutely! And I can't wait to meet them.
  • There's a likelihood, but we're not even close to figuring out how to reach them.
  • Just because a planet is "Earthlike" doesn't mean it has life anything like ours.
  • Not a chance! That's all a bunch of science fiction.

Remember to promote your poll in your newspaper, directing readers to vote on your website. And give readers the result of your last poll at the same time.
