The LEDE class of 2011 has been selected, and News & Interactive is preparing for the first leadership seminar next month in Downers Grove, Ill. The class includes journalists from a variety of backgrounds and GateHouse publications, from California to Massachusetts. See the full list of members below.
News & Interactive has been working with national newsroom training consultant Michael Roberts on the first session, April 25-27. Planned sessions include the role of a manager, managing change and a session on core values and ethics.

The goal of LEDE, part of the GateHouse Leadership Series, is to develop and train newsroom leaders now to take over higher-level newsroom positions across the company as they become available. The program's first class, last year, has seen three of the nine graduates move to higher management positions.
