Just about every town in Minnesota and North Dakota will feel to some degree the reductions in hours and services provided by the U.S. Postal Service. This project takes a closer look at the effects of the cutbacks on individuals and their communities.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Troy Krause of the Redwood Gazette wrote the umbrella story, which was supported by three sidebars, an online poll, a video interview of a resident in Crookston, a man-on-the-street ASF, and photo galleries from Devils Lake, Granite Falls and Sleepy Eye.

SIDEBARS:

• Crookston — Crookston Post Office spared from reduction in hours of operation
• Sleepy Eye — USPS money saving initiative will not directly affect SE
