GateHouse MySource sites get more sophisticated

More MySource sites have popped up around GateHouse, and they're driving big traffic. Here are some of my favorites:

-- Rockford and Utica have used the MySource template to create sites for this fall's elections. You can do the same. (Ask me how.)

-- MPNNow.com started a microsite for its Play entertainment section and has one for its NFL coverage of the Buffalo Bills. Check out all the Tweets!

-- Canton has created six microsites since June for sports, grads and local young-professional awards.

-- Peoria has created MySource homepage links to some of its existing sites and rebranded the page PJSource.

-- Norwich, one of the first papers to embrace MySource, has added microsites for nearby towns Hebron and Colchester, as well as a Things to Do site.

These sites are really driving traffic, too. Here are pageview numbers from August:

-- Norwich Bulletin's Colchester microsite: 6,339
-- Rockford's MySource homepage: 3,626
-- Canton Rep's MySource homepage: 1,270
-- A meet the candidates livestream Aug. 2 on Norwich's Dear Governor site: 1,085
-- Norwich's MySource homepage: 678
-- Norwich's Hebron Bulletin microsite: 602

Football Fever MySource sites are even more popular right now. More August examples:

-- Springfield, Ill.'s Prep Football page: 17,134 pageviews
-- Holland, Mich.'s Football Fever site: 4,453
-- Neosho, Mo.'s Game Night MySource site: 3,245
-- Freeport, Ill.'s Football Factory site: 1,869

Do you have a MySource example to share? Let me know, and I'll include it in a future GHNewsroom post.
