A few things to know about new content packages coming soon from GateHouse News Service:
1. The packages of text links, photos and video will be pushed to sites' carousels every two weeks on Thursday afternoons starting Feb. 3, and when big news breaks.
2. Their purpose is to help you populate your homepage with content your readers are talking about, without any work on your part, similar to our NDN best-videos package on Mondays.
3. Your site receives all pageviews for all content in the packages.
4. We'll start with a Valentine's Day package, including content on gift ideas, family recipes and the holiday itself. Upcoming planned topics include spring prep, tax time, Earth Day, back to school and the Sept. 11 anniversary. Find the full schedule here.
5. In a few weeks, you will be able to add your own content to these packages -- development of this feature is under way.
