Some lovely Valentine's-themed features on GH websites today:
-- The Patriot Ledger features moving stories of first loves who've been separated and reunited over the years. They also ran a callout for disastrous date stories -- I'm checking to see how this was received and will update this post today.
(UPDATE: Jen Wagner of the Ledger says no submissions came in for Dating Disasters. Either readers were too shy, or no one's ever had a bad date there!)
-- The PL and The Enterprise News in Brockton, Mass., broke down "the price of love" -- what a sampling of local restaurants and stores offer, and the costs, for Valentine's Day. I also love, love, love the Enterprise's photo gallery of local floral deliveries. I hope they add to it today with photos of people being surprised by flowers.
-- The Fall River, Mass., Herald News' callout for Valentine's photos included a video solicit, at the end of which readers could click to go right to a form for submitting photos.
-- Springfield, Ill.'s State Journal-Register has a story today on more people finding love online, a fun interactive quiz (with 14 questions, of course) and a Valentine's photo gallery with almost 300 submissions!
-- The Peoria (Ill.) Journal Star got nice response -- almost two dozen -- to a callout for readers' favorite Valentine's Day memories.
-- The Corning (N.Y.) Leader profiled couples who are successful in love and business -- an interesting look at what it takes to work with your spouse.
