Parents and Kids magazine, a publication produced by Community Newspaper Company (a GateHouse weekly newspaper division) has offered smart parenting advice to families throughout greater Boston since 1998. To mark their 10-year anniversary, the monthly magazine underwent a major design and editorial transformation and launched a web site with interactive features like blogs, contests and a newsletter.

P&K as its know, is designed to engage parents with children up to age 12.

The 40-page publication was officially re-introduced to the community at the country’s largest baby expo – The American Baby Faire – held in Foxboro, Mass., a few weeks ago.

Content featured in that relaunch edition — in print and online — included a rookie guide to parenting, how families can benefit from TV turn off week, celebrate green crafts and more.

Those stories and content offerings provided just a peak of what the publication's new web site would offer.

The site, which was launched in April, has become a one-stop shop for parents seeking local events, information and multimedia.

Here are some of the features of the site, which can be found on Wicked Local's more than 150 New England sites.

• Family Fun calendar

• E-newsletter

• Contests section

• Latest forums on hot parenting issues

• Videos

• Parenting blogs
