Zope publishing: Creating files in Zope

You can attach a variety of files to content in Zope, including PDFs, all Word documents, ZIP files and images.

The following instructions explain how to implement the feature.

1. Select “File” from the “Add” drop-down menu in Zope
2. Add “Title.” (The title will appear for readers to see)
3. Add a “Summary.”
4. Under file, click “Upload File” and select the file you want attached. Note: The widget will appear in your right rail once you relate content, unless you have overridden the default settings for that slot. If you have overridden it, instructions are below on how to implement it.
5. In order to have the “file” show up in your right rail on a story page you will need to turn that widget on.
   Select “Slots” and click on the “instory_right” slot.
6. Select “Add Widget”
7. Select “instory_files” and place in the appropriate order of the other listed items.
8. Press “Add.”
