Zope publishing: How to set up Deep Dish: Enhanced Sections

Set up slot: "Section_featured"

This area allows for a static featured headline and a featured supplement below it.

1. Select the section from the drop-down menu.
2. Select the "slots" tab.
3. Click on “section_featured” from the menu on the left.
4. At the bottom of the screen, select “add widget.”
5. Select “featured_static.” Note: It is not recommended that you use the “featured_carousel” widget here.
6. In the pop-up window, select the current section from the drop-down list.
7. Press “add.”

Optional: Select “add widget” again

1. Select “featured_companion.”
2. In the pop-up window, select the current section from the drop-down list.
3. Leave “section_count” as “1.”
4. Change "start at" from "0" to "1." This will make the second highest ranked or second most recent post appear here.

SET UP SLOT: “SECTION_HEADLINES”

This area allows for a running list of headlines from a specific section.

1. Select the section from the drop-down menu.
2. Select the "slots" tab.
3. Click on “section_headlines” from the menu on the left.
4. At the bottom of the screen, select “add widget.”
5. Select “home_section_origin.”
6. In the pop-up window, select the current section from the drop-down list.
7. For section count, set this to "8."
8. Change "start at" from "0" to "3." This will make the third through the 10th highest ranked or third through the eighth most recent posts appear.

SET UP SLOT: “SECTION_SUPPLEMENT”

This area allows for several widgets with different types of content such as section, blogs and feeds.

1. Select the section from the drop-down menu.
2. Select the "slots" tab.
3. Click on “section_supplement” from the menu on the left.
4. Please refer to the training manual for how to set up the widgets.

ENABLE THE VIEW

1. Select the section from the drop-down menu.
2. On the edit tab, change "section view" from "deep dish: section" to "deep dish: enhanced                  section."
