Wednesday's Wake Up Call!: Would kids even eat healthy school lunches?

Today first lady Michelle Obama and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack are expected to announce new rules for healthier school lunches, including cutting the sodium, and adding fruits and veggies.

That's well and good, but we've heard it before. Will it happen? Will it help? Time to find out:

-- Do you have farms in your area that produce potatoes or facilities that manufacture frozen pizzas (ConAgra manufactures the sauce for many pizzas)? These are two groups that lobbied for less-strict changes than the Obama administration had hoped for.

-- Critics of the changes say the government shouldn't tell kids what to eat, and that the changes will be expensive. Do parents and teachers care, as long as kids are getting better food?

-- Would kids even eat more fruits and vegetables in school lunches? Ask them why or why not. What are your local schools' most popular lunches -- can a dietitian tell about how many calories at fat grams are in each?
