The Repository named front page of the weekend (Aug. 6-8)

The Repository's Sunday centerpiece has some nice elements. But the first thing that catches my eye is the photograph by Michael Balash.

If you're not an avid golfer regularly on a local course, seeing a frog man crawl out of a water hazard is a rare ocurrence. In other words, this is one unique photo. And look at the guy's haul — a bloated bag of golf balls previously lost after stray shots.

And check out the lead-in headline — "It's not the bogeyman ..." Yep, the proper way to spell what many pronounce as the "boogie man" makes a nice reference to the golf term that likely resulted in the shots that ended up in the drink.

The photo up top, the one with the bubbles, seems unnecessary up there. The shot of the submerged ball, though, is a nice touch, especially with the accompanying breakout.

Nice page!
