The Times-Reporter localized Ohio's annual County Health Rankings & Roadmaps report released a day earlier.

The story by staff writer Jon Baker is illustrated by a large vertical image of a guy running at a local park. The faded image lends itself to the play of the headline, wrapping around the runner's arm.

Along with the image, the headline orientation also keeps this package feeling more vertical.

The chart at the bottom is nice, comparing data of nearby counties, the state and nation. The chart, though, cuts off the runner's legs at the shins, leaving an odd-looking crop. Suggestion? Go more vertical and slightly more narrow, running the package the full depth of the page. This will allow the chart to run below the runner. The narrower centerpiece would give 1 1/2 columns down the right side for the two remaining stories. The school photo with the KSU story isn't adding much to the renovation story, so it could either go inside or be cropped or reduced to run above or below the story.

Nice page.
