The Enterprise, a GateHouse Media daily newspaper outside of Boston has found an alternative way to tell readers about big projects in towns they cover.
As part of an ongoing series, the newspaper has followed an alternative story format — five things to know about — to report on what readers can expect this year in the many towns the newspaper covers. They are calling the feature "Five Things That Will Shape ...."
The package has been a standing center piece on the paper's local front for the last few days.
Here's what the package looks like online.
Steve Damish, mananging editor of the paper said the format has been a hit.
"We are doing this for all the communities we cover -- telling people what 5 things are coming along that will shape their community in 2010. People have loved them -- and it has given us a nice standing feature for two weeks," he said. "An ASF proved a natural way to present this info."
