Bulking up the video inventory at the Daily News, Managing Editor Nate Jones decided to select some “best-of” photos and string them together in a video.
WHAT HE DID:At the end of each month, Nate runs through the photos he’s worked with, pulling the most interesting. The number he uses varies from month to month, but the videos end up being about a minute – a perfect length. He sets the videos to music that comes with his editing software, iMovie. The process takes about 15 minutes.
THE TAKEAWAY: Whether you’re short on video and need an extra boost at the end of the month, or even if you have plenty to choose from, using still photography is a great way to re-use work you’ve already done to create new content.
