Ask the Editor ruled again on the use of “Obamacare” (and “Romneycare”):
- On first use, put these phrases in quotes. There’s no need for quotes thereafter.
- Uppercase the first letter but not the c in "care."
President Barack Obama’s health care law’s official name is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

AP treats Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law the same way – enclose in quotes on the first reference. Also, capitalize all the words.

Some Easter tips:
- Easter is weeks before it was last year because the holiday is determined by the moon. Last year it was on April 24, but this year it’s April 8.
- Good Friday and Passover are always capitalized, just like Easter.
- Biblical terms such as the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Ascension also are capitalized. They are not capitalized when used in conjunction with Jesus, e.g., "The ascension of Jesus into heaven took place 40 days after his resurrection from the dead."
- Easter Bunny is capitalized.
- Easter egg and Easter egg hunt only take caps on “Easter.”
- You can use Jesus or Christ or Jesus Christ in stories, but don’t treat Christ like his last name.
