Earthquake felt in MetroWest - Storify

MetroWest Daily News New Media Editor Bethany Edwards knew social media would be lighitng up after an earthquake shook New England Tuesday night. She used Storify to share the conversation.

WHAT SHE DID: She used "earthquake" as a keyword search term on Twitter and Facebook and put her core town, Framingham, Mass in the location box, with 10 klm as the radius. That pulled up everything Tweeted or posted to Facebook within that radius. She also checked YouTube and Instagram, but nothing turned up.

THE TAKEAWAY: Share the social media conversation when a big news event hits using Storify. Your readers will enjoy reading what locals had to say. Twitter and Facebook are your best bets, but don't forget YouTube and Instagram as well.
