OK, last week I decided to start tracking different blog posts to see how well they do with different keywords attached, and eventually we can take it a step further and try different linking strategies.
So, on the Editing Words blog, I posted a post titled, "AP Stylebook: State abbreviations."
I chose this phrase because it popped up in my Google search bar options when I started typing the words, "ap sytlebook." Apparently, there are a lot of people looking for the state abbreviations from the AP Stylebook.
How did I choose "ap stylebook"? When I typed it into the Google research tool, I see that it is searched for 110,000 times a month and it has low competition.
The words "ap style" also have some good numbers: 135,000.
I will post another Editing Words post starting with "ap style," and next week, we will compare the two and see which did better.
