For those of you who read our Editing Words blog on AP Style and grammar, I have pasted the most-visited blog posts from that blog.
It always helps to go back through your blog posts and keep a record of the top 10 each month. You will eventually start to see a pattern of which subjects, word combinations and keywords do the best.
Take note of the first blog post below: "Datelines, cities that stand alone." That blog post has consistently done well in the month-to-month analytics report. It started off getting around 200 hits a month, and now it is up to almost 1,000 hits per month. It took time for that post to gain authority, but six months later, it was well worth the wait.
Keep track of your top-ranking blog posts, and it will help you decide what to write about in the future.
