Here are a number of GateHouse front pages that are worth a look this week. If you don't already submit your front pages daily or weekly, you can do so by sending a pdf to frontpages@gatehousemedia.com.
The Patriot Ledger's weekend front always is an attention grabber

The front page of Sunday's Taunton Daily Gazette uses a cardboard box background for its headline treatment and other type.

The Enterprise's Sunday front uses images of the actual redacted transcripts. Love this!

There's something about this page that makes me thirsty. I like use of beer bottles to illustrate the distribution of liquor licenses, but I wonder if it's a little hard to understand. Way to think outside the bottle, er, box!

The MetroWest Daily News blew out its Tuesday front for coverage of the 115th running of the Boston Marathon. I like the rail of division winners and their mugs.

Another front from Tuesday, The Patriot Ledger's vertical centerpiece uses a nice amount of white space to frame the package. Interesting photo shows a woman, who has lyme disease, checks for ticks by dragging a piece of white flannel over the ground.

The lines in the photo offer an interesting geometric display agains the architecture of the Rockford Register Star's front page from Wednesday.

The St. James Leader-Journal, a Missouori weekly, uses an ASF centerpiece. Love the healthy amount of white space used between every story.

If you don't have many breakouts on your front page, design it like The Times-Reporter. This page is newsy, looks clean and consistently spaced. Note the extra space around the standalone photo.

The Daily Messenger weather story in the centerpiece is unique in that it focuses on how three local industries deal with the poor spring weather.

The Holland Sentinel uses a 6-photo package to highlight the controversial exhibit. WIth such detailed photos, I would have argued for few shots displayed at larger sizes. Sitll nice, though.

Be sure to send front page pdfs each day to frontpages@gatehousemedia.com.
