Scott Hardesty is a Special Projects Manager with the News & Interactive Division and will be filling in for Joe until his return.
Scott’s background is in photography and website development, a bit of page design to boot. He knows what looks nice and more importantly the amount of work that goes into creating appealing pages. A consistently good-looking publication comes only from a newsroom that is hitting on all cylinders and communicating well between multiple departments… of course, playing good photos dominant goes a long way.
If your publication is chosen Front Page of the Day you can bet that in Scott’s world your staff put in a complete team effort. Extra points for those that go above and beyond the norm… such as a dominant graphic, large headlines, subheads, unique illustrations, easy to read fact boxes, creative skyboxes, and good use of color across the board.
Scott is a champion of good staff communication and believes the end result is an easy to read, visually appealing publication.
