Observer-Dispatch named front page of the day (05/03/12)

A lot to like about this action packed front page from the Observer-Dispatch. A ton of content packed onto this page yet it does not have a tight feel.

Four inside packages referred to in the skybox accompanied by three images.

The one column story, page right, incorporates four headshots, a cut-out image, three deck headline, and two deck sub seemlessly.

The centerpiece contains a lot of content on it's own and flows well, blending two shaded information boxes, a pull quote, headshot, detail, shot, and a dominant image. A weightier headline would have only enhanced this eye catching package.

Nice job.
