The Daily Telegram produced a fine front page centerpiece around a national report by the Robert Wood Foundation that compiled health statistics for each county in the U.S.
The Telegram, located in Southeast Michigan near the state line, localized the findings by comparing the stats for Lenawee County with seven neighboring counties in Michigan and Ohio.
The nine categories compared include health outcomes, uninsured, low birth weight, primary care physicians, adult smoking, adult obesity, excessive drinking and premature death.
Information for each county is listed below stock photos. The flush-left info below the photos appears a little cumbersome running just after the colon. Using tab sets wold have pushed the stats to the right side of the column, which would have made the stats easier to read.
The gird used in this package keeps all of the content aligned beautifully, both vertically and horizontally.
If your paper is working on a package with similar data, consider looking at this package a guide to using grids.
Well done.
