GateHouse News & Interactive has concluded the first quarter Inner Circle evaluations, certifying 173 newsrooms. This is the first evaluation of the new 2013 Inner Circle initiatives — including “Seen on Scene” photo galleries, increased Facebook posting, Twitter for reporters and “Coming in Print.”
After the second day of evaluations, 157 newsrooms have been certified. In addition to fantastic coverage and localization of the tragic bombing in Boston, GateHouse News & Interactive staff was seeing lots of creative ways newsrooms were incorporating Inner Circle initiatives.
After the first day of evaluations, 89 newsrooms had been Inner Circle certified for Q1. GateHouse News & Interactive staff will continue evaluations throughout the rest of the week. The number of newsrooms already incorporating the challenging, new initiatives of 2013 is truly impressive.
With Inner Circle Q1 evaluations in full swing, the staff at GateHouse News & Interactive is seeing some great examples of newsrooms embracing the initiatives — both new and old.
After three days of evaluations, 166 newsrooms were Inner Circle certified for the fourth quarter of 2012. Many newsrooms had already started incorporating 2013 Inner Circle initiatives onto their websites and into their newspapers.
