Inner Circle evaluations begin today for fourth quarter 2011.

For up-to-the-minute updates, follow us on Twitter: @GHInnerCircle. We'll keep you updated throughout the week as we examine GateHouse newspapers and websites to see if they meet the criteria for Inner Circle 2011. Twitter is the quickest way for you to find out if your news organization qualifies.

We'll also post daily updates here on GHnewsroom.com.

The number of GateHouse Media news organizations that made Inner Circle during the third-quarter evaluation topped 200, and we're hoping we can continue to grow the number of papers who consistently update their websites, keep photo galleries fresh, engage readers using callouts and promote their newspapers online. In print, we're looking for specific alternative story formats, reader callouts and print promotions.

Good luck to all of our newsrooms!
