The first three papers to be certified in the Inner Circle for the second quarter:
Andover American, Kan.
Fall River Herald News, Mass.
Taunton Daily Gazette, Mass.

To qualify for the Inner Circle, newsrooms are expected to do the following, based on circulation size:
Online updates
Online galleries
Videos
Community blogs
Facebook posts
Only in Print: a print promotion online and in print
Only Online: an online promotion that runs in print
Reader Involvement: timely, specific callouts for content
Community Partner or Public Service Journalism: specific alternative story formats in print
The number of newsrooms certified in first quarter 2012 was 197. In the first quarter, GateHouse changed expectations to include video, community blogs and Facebook.
