Gas prices are soaring again. How do consumers change their behavior?

Gas prices are going up quickly. So quickly that many are concerned they will put a damper on a slowly improving economy. So quickly that President Obama is going on the offensive over the issue.

The increase has been dramatic, with prices increasing 20 cents in just a day or two.

Ways to localize:

  • Talk with local trucking and transportation companies. Find out how the higher gas prices are affecting their business.
  • Are local cab companies feeling the pinch? Is business up or down because of the gas prices?
  • Local schools are probably seeing much higher fuel bills for their buses. See how they are coping.
