Two GateHouse Media news executives will serve on Saxotech's advisory council.

David Arkin, vice president for content & audience and Chris Biondi, senior director of content initiatives, for GateHouse Media, both will serve on a small advisory council with executives from Journal Register Company, Scripps Howard, Gannet and the Philadelphia Inqurier.

The council meets annually to hear updates on Saxotech's print and online products and provide the company direction on future development projects.

GateHouse Media announced earlier this year that it will use Saxotech's Mediaware Center and Saxotech's Online system for greater workflow management and multi-channel publishing across its 79 dailies, 261 weeklies and more than 390 locally-focused websites.

Also: Arkin will speak about GateHouse's centralized desk initiative, called Design Houses, at Saxotech's June 10-12 User Conference. Companies like Adobe, Audit Bureau or Circulation and Dimensional Insight and more than 125 newspaper clients will attend the conference.
