AP style on Facebook Timeline

AP ruled not too long ago that Facebook’s new Timeline feature should be capitalized, even though Facebook sometimes doesn’t cap the word. (Be wary in general of basing your capitalization on a company’s usage – in this case, Facebook sometimes caps the word, and sometimes it doesn’t.) Timeline is also one word, just like Facebook, though I still see FaceBook references.

Here we go again: Death reports on Twitter greatly exaggerated

A week after the anniversary of false reports of Ariz. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' shooting death, Twitter quickly spread false reports of former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno's death Saturday night. Paterno passed away Sunday morning of lung cancer.
