With two weeks until go-live, it's a big week for training: The first Saxotech webinar training started Tuesday for newspapers that launch in week 1 (Rockford and Freeport, Ill., as well as the first Boston group), and Design House Saxo training kicked off Monday for Framingham and Rockford.
It's also a time of big visual transformation involving new paint, flooring and desks this week and next week. Most of the earlier work (outside of demolition) had been less conspicuous because it was above our heads: Wiring, ceiling tiles, lights.
In other news, we expect to send out our Policies and Procedures document with accompanying request form soon; this goes over such areas as communication, early/late deadlines and late ads.
Note: We plan to send initial memos to September launch newspapers in the next few weeks.
Framingham:
The Design House is slated to get its carpet and cubicles by the end of the week, so moving day is coming soon!
Rockford:
Painting began Friday, and carpet is expected to be installed starting today. Lighting grid and cable work have wrapped up.
