The Brookline (Mass.) TAB did a great enterprise story that would be easily duplicated in many of our communities.
WHAT THEY DID: From Managing Editor David Harris: "Brookline's Erin Clossey and Teddy Applebaum were curious. So Teddy used Google Patent search and came up with some interesting patents. He then consulted with the Brookline Historical Society to boil down all those crazy patents into the six most interesting ones. He didn't write a huge story about patents, but he did create an ASF showing six different patents, inventor blurb and a little bit about the invention itself."
THE TAKEAWAY: This is a fun, interesting enterprise story that didn't take a lot of time. I'm sure the web and print readers loved it.
