It’s a good outlet for a department that might otherwise be pounding local reporters with press releases – and provides a place for residents to find out about new programs and park district news.
THE TAKEAWAY: If you’re getting rapid-fire releases from your park district as the weather heats up, approach the PR director about doing a blog. They’ll get an established platform to reach residents, and you’ll get an extra blogger.
