TAKE OUR POLL- School choice impact at D-Y
Newspapers on Cape Cod are sending readers from their website to Facebook.

Papers on Cape Cod, in Massachusetts, are posting a series of polls about various school issues timed to coincide with back to school. Readers are responding.

WHAT THEY DID: New Media Editor David Colantuoano is posting a series of polls about various hot-button school issues as readers' attention turns to getting the kids back to school. He's posting the polls both to the websites of the Cape papers and to their Facebook pages as well. See what he's doing there? He's getting his readers where they are and not limiting his audience and the chance to engage them.

THE TAKEAWAY: The polls got good participation on both the websites and Facebook. The Facebook polls sparked conversation as well. It's a very creative way to engage you audience on multiple platforms.
