Some story ideas for fall, which begins Saturday:

-- What are the best places to hike in your area, or trails to walk to see fall foliage? Map out these spots, as well as drives to take to see the autumn colors.
-- Look into whether your area has U-pick or Community Supported Agriculture farms that offer fall produce. These offer an interesting way to get in-season fruit and veg and to meet local farmers.
-- Fall is a great season for new TV shows, books, music, video games and more. Ask readers to write about their favorites. You could even host a roundtable at the newspaper or a local meeting place where readers talk about new shows and reads, and record it for your paper and website. Something like this could become a monthly feature, and a good way to meet people in the community.
