Longtime hockey beat writer Dave Eminian of the Journal Star (Peoria, Ill.) is the subject of a recent profile on the official website of the American Hockey League.

Eminian, who has been reporting on the Peoria Rivermen since 1984, has covered thousands of games over the course of his career and has become well known as a fan, team historian and promoter.

According to Rivermen general manager Kevin McDonald: “He has such passion for not only the game but the Peoria market and this team. He finds out information before even I know on some of our prospects sometimes. From hosting Ice Time Online, Rivermen RadioActive, to his blog, he is very innovative and stays ahead of the curve.”
