GateHouse papers and staffers in New England took home general excellence, rookie of the year and photographer of the year awards along with a number of other honors from the New England Newspaper and Press Association’s annual convention this past weekend. This year’s New England Better Newspaper Competition drew nearly 3,000 entries from daily, weekly and specialty newspapers from a six-state region.
