For a third straight year, Suburban Life Publications has been recognized as having the state's best large nondaily newspaper. The Illinois Press Association awarded the newsgroup the Will Loomis Memorial Trophy at a ceremony Friday in Springfield. For a third straight year, Suburban Life Publications has been recognized as having the state's best large nondaily newspaper.

With a total of 55 awards Friday at the Illinois Press Association’s annual presentation in Springfield — including 14 winning first place in their category — Suburban Life Publications won the organization’s prestigious Sweepstakes Award and took home the Will Loomis Memorial Trophy, which recognizes the state’s best large nondaily publication.

Suburban Life Publications is the parent organization of this website and its affiliated newspaper.

This is the third consecutive year in which Suburban Life Publications has won the sweepstakes competition, a compilation of points based on individual awards.

The trophy was established in 1949 to honor Loomis, former publisher of the La Grange Citizen.
