GateHouse Media News & Interactive Division Executive Director David Arkin will be a featured speaker at an upcoming Maynard Institute program.
Arkin will speak on June 13 at the institute's Multimedia Editing Program.
Twelve journalists were selected for the fellowship program, which is funded by a grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. Arkin will teach two sessions:
• How to launch a user-generated content program and get the most out of reader content
• How everyone in your newsroom plays a role in good Search Engine Optimization practices.
Arkin frequently speaks at industry training events. Last month, he spoke about alternative story formats at a NewsTrain event in Madison, Wisc.
